Third Eye Open, Kepler 19 b, c and Orbits, Installation
As part of the Third Eye Open, solo exhibition I decided to present the works on paper created for the exhibit as an installation. Combining Third Eye Open and With Every Fiber of My Being symbolically allowed for a broader visual conversation regarding cellular energy and matter.
With Every Fiber of My Being, alludes to the materials and methods used to create this specific installation. It also speaks to my overall beliefs regarding the benefits of creating art. I create “with every fiber of my being” because I have to and because it brings me joy.
Third Eye Open, represents an internal conversation about the inter-connectedness of human life, from the infinitesimal individual to the expanse in which our universe exists and operates within - yet there are laws of physics, and highly shared beliefs and practices that hinge or bind us together.
Visually combining these works allows for the research and meaning of the various symbology, iconography, sacred geometry, and my own personal visual languages to be considered collectively and to harmonize. While installing the artwork, Amy Morton, the gallery owner of Morton Fine Art and I decided to refer to the arrangement of With Every Fiber of My Being that circled the Third Eye Open works on paper, as orbits.
